Donald Joseph Qualls, better called DJ Qualls is an American model and actor. Shooting to fame for his roles in Road Trip he has since played in more than 20 feature films, including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. As well as his roles with Road Trip Qualls has participated in over 22 TV shows like Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order & Others. As a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which he was diagnosed at the age of 14. Qualls is an avid fighter. After two years of treatment his cancer is now in recovery. The early treatment resulted in severe negative effects on his health and development. Once he started acting in the direction of financial security, it seemed like the ultimate goal since his experience with poverty had been a part of his life. He stated "I've been living so frugal throughout my life that I'm looking for financial security because otherwise the world will feel out-of-control for me." He also reflects on his own experiences as a child to figure out how he can combat the bullying. "Cruelty makes me cry," he said. DJ's ideal position is to be a father in reel and in real life. Although, he acknowledges that directors aren't often casting me for those types of roles. Someday, he'd love have a baby so it would be easier to devote his time on his career to more care for the infant.
